Topic: Enabling Farmers with AI and Game Theory
Mayank completed his M.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT-Kanpur in 2008. After 9 years in the industry performing diverse tasks such as building firmware, video conferencing tools, EDA tools, and search engines and business development, he joined the Ph.D. program in CSA@IISc in August 2017. He is currently working on applying AI and Game Theory techniques in Digital Agriculture. In particular, he is focusing on price prediction, crop recommendation, and market design problems using AI techniques and Game Theory.

Amal completed his Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Science before joining Department of CSA. His research interests include Multi agent systems, mechanism design, mean field games and dynamical systems.

Topic: New Algorithms for Modern Matching Problems
She is a PhD student, and recipient of the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Research Scholarship at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, where she is a member of the Game Theory Lab. Her broad research interests are Algorithmic Game Theory and Approximation Algorithms. Her current work is focused on matchings. Specifically, she is studying the intersection of stability, incentive compatibility and various fairness notions for matching settings.

Topic: Algorithms for Fair Division with Subsidies
Anand Krishna is a PhD student at the Department of Computer Science and Automation (CSA), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) since August 2018. He is a recipient of the Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) 2020. His academic interests include Fair Division, Randomized Algorithms and Reinforcement Learning.

Topic: Fairness in Participatory Budgeting and Social Algorithms
Sreedurga is pursuing Direct Ph.D. in Game Theory lab in IISc from August 2018. She completed her B.Tech (Gold medal) in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Jabalpur in April 2018. She is a recepient of Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) from August 2018. She is currently working on computational social choice, and more specifically, participatory budgeting.
Vishakha Patil(Jointly supervised with Prof. Arindam Khan)

Topic: Fairness in Bandit Algorithms
Vishakha is a second year PhD student in the Computer Science and Automation Department at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. She is advised by Prof. Y. Narahari and Prof. Arindam Khan. Her research interests include Online Learning and Optimization, Game Theory, and Mechanism Design. She is currently working on questions in the areas of Algorithmic Fairness, Causal Inference, and Online Learning. Her work is supported by a Google Ph.D. Fellowship. Previously, she completed her M.Tech. (Research) from CSA, IISc in July 2019 under Prof. Narahari’s guidance with a thesis titled ‘Achieving Fairness in the Stochastic Multi-armed Bandit Problem’.
