Title of the Talk: Temporal Datamining, Symbolic Time series and Neuroinformatics

Abstract: In this talk we provide an overview on a temporal datamining framework, namely, frequent episodes in event streams. We discuss how such a datamining approach may be useful for analyzing symbolic time series data. Specifically, we discuss this in the context of analyzing multi-neuronal spike train data. We provide an overview on both the algorithmic and the statistical issues involved in such data analysis tasks.
